Home improvements for free?

10/09/2017 @ 07:24

Householders in the Welshpool area are being invited to attend one of three drop-in days today (Monday) in town to see whether they are eligible for free home improvements to reduce energy bills.

The first of the three Welsh Government Warm Homes Nest scheme open days takes place at Welshpool Library from 10.30am-1pm.

If the notice is too short, you can plan ahead and attend two further events at the library on October 9 and November 13 at the same time.

Nest is open to all householders in Wales and provides advice on saving energy, energy tariffs, and benefit entitlement.

In addition to free advice, if you own or privately rent your home and you or someone you live with receives a means tested benefit you may be eligible for home improvements at no cost. These may include a new central heating boiler or insulation.

Nest can be contacted on Freephone 0808 808 2244 or visit nestwales.org.uk for advice on reducing energy bills and to find out if you qualify for a package of free home energy efficiency improvements.
