Dementia reading group

Powys Library Service and a Welshpool-based registered charity have joined forces to offer people a way to discuss dementia and related mental health issues.

Ponthafren Association have created ‘A little Aloud’ - Reading & Discussion Group which will run every Monday from 2.30–4pm at Ponthafren on Broad Street.

The session will allow participants to come along to join short story and poetry reading group sessions followed by discussions. Carers, family members and those with the condition are welcome to attend.

The first session took place on Monday to coincide with gthe launch of National Libraries Week and it went well, according to officials.
