Welshpool Town have boosted their chances of getting back to winning ways by unveiling an experienced new signing.
Steve Jones has joined Pool from Llanidloes and steps straight into the side to entertain Aberaeron on Saturday in the Spar Mid Wales League.
Pool suffered a shock 5-1 defeat at Bow Street and joint manager Chris Roberts was not happy with the result. “Steve will give us more options on the right hand side of the field, either at full back or on the wing.
“Hopefully he will give us a boost as we need a response after the poor performance last week.”
Welshpool will be without the injured Will Pritchard though.
There’s a cracking game in prospect at Guilsfield where Holywell are the Huws Gray Alliance League visitors – the two sides meeting again just seven days after the amazing Welsh Cup tie.
Asa Hamilton will be suspended after being sent off at Holywell last week in an unsavoury end to the cup tie which left Guilsfield manager Nathan Leonard accusing a Holywell player of spitting at one of his players.
