The world coming to Welshpool

Welshpool will host a ‘big cultural celebration’ this Saturday with an open invite for all local residents to attend.

 

The event, organised by Oldford Communities First, will be held inside the Town Hall from 11am-4pm with a vast range of global entertainment on offer and free of charge to all.

 

“The event will really brighten up February with music, dance and storytelling from around the world all taking place right here in Welshpool,” said Julie Hughes, Oldford Communities First co-ordinator.

 

The event will consist of workshops and performances in hip hop, Indian dance, Celtic dance and African drumming. There will also be opportunities to try different crafts as well as activities from African block painting to Henna body artwork. Oldford and Ardwyn School dancers will also perform.
