New councillor for Guilsfield

Guilsfield has welcomed a new councillor after Mrs Phyllis Edwards was co-opted to fill the vacancy following the resignation of Cllr Leslie Gretton.

 

Mrs Edwards was brought up in Guilsfield and has been a popular figure and says she understands the need for volunteers to maintain and keep facilities available.

 

Meanwhile, the community council has been contacted by Powys County Council in connection with the Local Development Plan (LDP), which will replace the Powys Unitary Development Plan and will guide development in Powys up to 2026. Possible sites to be considered for inclusion in the LDP need to be registered with Powys by May 6.
