Local schools are continuing to perform well following the release of the latest ‘colour’ rankings from the Welsh Government.
Welshpool High School has been rated in the excellent ‘green’ category, along with Arddleen, Buttington Trewern, Gungrog, Oldford and Pontrobert schools.
A majority of local schools are in the good ‘yellow’ category while several have been ranked as ‘amber’.
Particularly pleasing for local parents will be the confirmation that no schools in Montgomeryshire are in the red group.
Nationwide, 85.3 per cent of primary schools and 68.3 per cent of secondary schools are now in the green and yellow categories.
