Red Arrows coming to Welshpool!

Mywelshpool has been told that the world-famous Red Arrows will be carrying out a display over the town this summer.

 

The news comes just a fortnight after it was announced that the town would be forced to cancel its annual air show due to the RAF charging for its planes for the first time following Armed Forces cutbacks.

 

But it now looks like we will be in for a show on Sunday, June 12 after all... and what a show it will be!

 

The Red Arrows are pencilled in for a 10.30am performance and a World War II Spitfire is also signed up.

 

Town Clerk Robert Robinson revealed: “It has just been confirmed and we’ll release more news when we have it but there will be much, much more.”
