Allotments at last!

Gardeners' wait for allotments in Welshpool seems to be over, with a farmer offering space on his property to be used.

 

The town has searched unsuccessfully for the last three years for a patch of land to be used for a growing list of gardeners and, at times, the debate has become heated.

 

But last night, the town council confirmed that Golfa Farm has made space available for local people to utilise.

 

“There are as many as people wish, any size people wish and they come with car parking, water and toilet facilities. There is also the chance to rent a shed to go with the allotments,” confirmed a spokesperson.
