Dramatic stolen car chase ends in arrests

There was high speed drama on one of our main roads yesterday when a police pursuit ended in a stolen car crashing and its four occupants being arrested after a foot chase.

The incident happened on the A458 near Llangadfan when the car was spotted by an eagle eyed officer, sparking the high speed chase.

The vehicle crashed through a fence, before its four occupants took off on foot. They didn’t get far though with all four arrested soon after by officers responding from both Newtown and Welshpool.

A police spokesperson told us it was a “great team effort” and that all four men were from the West Midlands.
