Local honey producers, Hilltop Honey, are investing in their beloved honey bees by updating and launching a new Adopt a Bee campaign - with a percentage of the profits going towards the Honeypot Children’s Charity.
The bee campaign has been in existence for a few years and has an astounding range of followers (including some celebrities) and has been a popular item amongst budding beekeepers and honey lovers.
Previously members who opted to adopt, would receive a jar of honey, a newsletter, an adoption sign up form and a sheet of facts but now the re-launched mega bumper pack will include a whole range of exciting goodies including:
· Four beautiful post cards of Hilltop Honey’s bumble bee friends at Powis Castle
· A hilltop honey passport full of interesting facts about bees
· A yummy pot of honey, the perfect portion size for breakfast!
· A seed booklet, to promote ‘bee friendly in your garden’
· A welcome letter with membership card that lasts 12 months
· Your very own bee badge
Twenty-five per cent of the profit from Adopt a Bee sales will go to the very deserving Honeypot Children’s Charity which enhances the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5–12 years old.
Bees are one of our most familiar and loved insects, but they are under threat. There has been an overall decline in wild and honey bees over the past 50 years.
Scott Davies, Managing Director, Hilltop Honey, said; “We’re so pleased to be refreshing and improving our Adopt a Bee campaign.
“We’ve received overwhelming interest in this campaign over the last few years and it’s one of the top selling items on our website!
“Adopt a Bee is a perfect gift idea for any inquisitive honey lover and now with a percentage of profits going towards the Honeypot Children’s Charity, you can be left ‘buzzin’ that your £10 has been very well spent!”
