While local football clubs look to the skies once again hoping that the forecasters are wrong, the big match of the weekend is likely to go ahead after being switched to Latham Park on Saturday evening.

Unbeaten Amateur League division two side Forden United face Division One title chasers Four Crosses in the semi-final of the Emrys Morgan Cup, guaranteeing a Montgomeryshire spot in the final.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Guilsfield take on Porthmadog in a vital Huws Gray Alliance encounter while lower down the leagues, Spar One leaders Welshpool Town head to Tywyn Bryncrug. There is a mix of league and cup action occupying the amateur league sides.
