How the new school will look…

Plans have been released by architects creating the new multi-million-pound school close to the high school.

The new 360-place English Medium Primary School and 55 place Early Years Nursery was originally expected to be open by September, but it has been severely delayed and it is hoped work can be commenced as soon as the plan is approved.

It will be considered by tonight’s full Town Council meeting who will see that the new facility requires new dedicated vehicular access works, ancillary car parking, landscaping, recreational space and associated infrastructure works.

Another school is to be built on the former Maesydre site for Welsh speakers, but that too has been delayed by a successful application to make the original school a listed building.

Full details of the school can be seen on the Welshpool Town Council web site under the minutes for tonight's full council meeting.
