Next U3A meeting

The next meeting of the Welshpool & District U3A is on May 1, when the talk will be delivered by Maryke Stansfield on Spices at the COWSHACC.

She will explain the origins, history and a variety of their uses with the doors opening at 9.45am to allow members and visitors to have time for a coffee and chat prior to the meeting which will start promptly at 10.30am.

At the last meeting, the speaker was Tim Morris, one of the owners of Booka Books bookshop and café in Oswestry. He spoke about starting a bookshop in the present time, with all the competition from e-books and Amazon.
