Welshpool Golf Club is celebrating after its greenkeeper received a major acknowledgement from the R&A.
Jo Gamble, who lives in Guilsfield, impressed a panel of three R&A officials enough to land a three-year scholarship to cover his HNC Golf Course Management qualification.
Not only that, Jon will remain an R&A scholar for the rest of his life.
