Welshpool Police say they are “moving up the chain” in terms of the town’s drugs dealers following another successful operation over the past couple of days.

Three arrests were made for drugs supply offences after a raid caught alleged dealers preparing to distribute heroin using children’s plastic Kinder Surprise eggs.

It is the latest in a run of successful operations led by the town’s officers and a spokesperson from the station told us last night: “We’re slowly moving up the chain in terms of drug dealers.”

The arrests came after a vehicle was stopped in the town before a follow-up search led to the drugs find and the three arrests.

“We continue to appeal to the people of Welshpool to support us in reporting drug dealing so we can rid the town of drugs or at least reduce it significantly,” said Sergeant Tom Marshall.
