A man suspected of hiding drugs up his bum during a police raid has finally had a ‘movement’.

In what is believed to be a first for Dyfed-Powys, officers used a S152 Criminal Justice Act to detain persons suspected of concealing drugs. The man was  man one of three arrested by offficers in Welshpool on May 1. He was charged with an offence of possession with intent to supply. But the waiting game for evidence took a lot longer than expected.

A quantity of drugs was recovered following address searches, and the other two men were released under investigation.

Yesterday PS Tom Marshall said: “He is under constant watch and will remain with us until any drugs have been passed.”

Tonight he tweeted:"Day 12. Boom. There has been a movement, suspected Class A drugs passed by detainee.
