Gold in Belgium
The young judoka continued his winning streak to take Gold at the Hermee Cup, and his current form on the mat has gained him a coveted spot at the forthcoming British National Team Championships which are being hosted in Cardiff at the end of June. This event will see the best of the best from all the home nations battle it out for the top spot.
Rhys has dedicated his success to the first-class coaching he receives from his local judo club, A J Judo Welshpool, under the watchful eye of renowned judo and wrestling coaches Alan Jones MBE 7th Dan (pictured with Rhys) and Sue Jones 4th Dan.
He will continue his intensive training for the forthcoming championships and hopes to continue his winning form.
