Welshpool is featured in a new tourism brochure that will be placed into accommodation across Mid and West Wales.

MWT Cymru, the independent company representing around 600 tourism and hospitality businesses across the region, has launched its 2018/19 Bedroom Browser with the town featured for the first time.

Members of MWT Cymru receive free copies of the popular publication to put in their bedrooms. Packed with information about things to see and do while visiting Mid Wales, the Bedroom Browser features 49 visitor attractions, activity providers and towns.

The publication is available in hotel rooms, guest houses, bed and breakfast, self-catering and caravan accommodation. It contains useful information about a huge range of attractions, activities and places to visit in Ceredigion, Powys, Meirionnydd and the Welsh Marches.

The ‘Bedroom Browser’ has detailed information about everything from adrenalin pumping activities, national trails for walkers and spectacular wildlife and nature attractions to narrow gauge railways, arts and craft centres and heritage and family attractions.

Among those also featured for the first time are the Andrew Logan Museum, Berriew; Newtown Textile Museum; Robert Owen Museum, Newtown; Cloverlands Museum, Montgomery.

“Having received an excellent response from advertisers this year, we are delighted with the finished product, which I am sure is going to be very popular with guests staying in accommodation across Mid Wales,” said MWT’s chief executive Val Hawkins. “The Bedroom Browser presents a good overview of the best that the region has to offer visitors.

“With 8,500 Bedroom Browsers in individual bedrooms, even with 50 per cent occupancy, we calculate that in excess of one million visitors see them every year.”

The publication has been designed by Motif Creative, Newtown and distributed by Pear Communications who also produce brochure stands and other point of sale material to promote businesses. The brochure stands, promoting the ‘Show Me Wales’ app, can be seen in major stores across Mid Wales.
