A six-week course to be held in Welshpool will target arthritis sufferers and help to get them on the move.
The 1st ever Welshpool Get Active course, which is free of charge, starts on June 13 and will run from 10.30am-12.30pm for six weeks at the COWSHACC (Scout Hut). Refreshments are also provided.
The course is designed for anyone with any form of arthritis and aims to help them better manage their condition and symptoms through knowledge, self-management and activity/exercise.
Each week covers a different self-management topic from healthy eating to managing pain and weeks two to six include an activity taster session which will be accessible to participants of all abilities (chair based exercise, Boccia and Motivational Movement) and participants receive a self-management toolkit which they are able to add to and retain for the future.
