Leading musicians to play Welshpool show

A musician described as a “brilliant flautist” will pair up with one of Scotland’s leading guitarists for a unique performance this Thursday in Welshpool.

 

Starting at 7.30 pm in Welshpool Methodist Church, Aisling Agnew and Matthew McAllister will perform a one-off show for the town as a flute and guitar duo.

 

Organiser Roy Upton-Holder is delighted to have secured the performers and said: “No flute player should miss this recital which includes Aisling’s virtuoso variations of themes from Bizet's Carmen by Borne. Matthew is regarded by many as Scotland’s leading guitarist so it promises to be a very entertaining night of music.”
