Paraglider crashes near Churchstoke

A paraglider was airlifted to hospital following a crash at Corndon Hill, near Churchstoke, on Sunday lunch time.

Fire crews from stations across the border assisted paramedics in reaching the victim via tricky terrain shortly after 1.30pm and the Midlands Air Ambulance was called for. 

The area is well known for paragliding, and the condition of the rescued pilot was not known this morning.
