Bookings being taken for Carnival

Organisers of the Welshpool Carnival will be hoping this fantastic weather will continue through to August after switching the date from its traditional May Bank Holiday slot.

The move places the event in the middle of the school summer holidays, and today organisers have announced that booking are still being taken for stalls on the field.

“Any local groups or businesses who wish to have a stall on the carnival field should contact Welshpool Town Council on 01938 553142,” said a spokesperson.

The theme of the carnival will be Science Fiction, and the Carnival Committee are welcoming back Titan the Robot to the carnival field.

Anyone interested in taking part in the procession can also contact contact the Town Council.
