Rugby Club not impressed

It’s been a frustrating summer holiday for local sports clubs with the rugby club becoming the latest to vent their anger over the mess left in their grandstand.

Waterloo Rovers and Guilsfield have both reported big problems to us with smashed glass and rubbish strewn across their stands and onto their pitches, and last night rugby officials faced a considerable clean-up operation.

“Looks like they had hell of a party but forgot to clean up again!” said the club’s Daley Jones this morning. “There was broken glass everywhere along with discarded bottles and rubbish.”

Earlier this month, we reported that one Welshpool man confronted youngsters at Waterloo Rovers’ grandstand that he claimed were as young as 14 and smoking drugs.
