Medals for Harriers

A number of Maldwyn Harriers Junior athletes were selected to represent North Wales in the Welsh Inter Regional Championship at Penlan, Brecon.

First medal of the day went to Berriew-based athlete Megan Davies (right) who claimed Silver in the Senior High Jump. Megan also picked up a silver in the 4x100m, fourth in the 200m and sixth in the 100m.

Next up was Carwyn Owen (right), fresh from his victory at the Neil Howells Memorial Race on his home turf in Montgomery, with a silver medal in the U17 men’s 800m.

Final medal of the day went to 13-year-old Ollie Jones (pictured) in the U15 boys 1500m.

Tayla Trigg finished a credible sixth in the U17 women’s high jump and 800m and eighth in the long jump.
