Intrepid cyclists are being urged to sign up for this year’s Lake Vyrnwy Bikeathon which will take place in May.

The annual event, which will take place on Sunday, May 15 is in its 13th year and traditionally attracts hundreds of cyclists for the 26-mile event in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

Joint organiser, Lyn Evans, of the Mid Wales Branch of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, said: “We hope that cyclists turn out in their usual numbers and help raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.”

Anyone wanting to take part in the Bikeathon, which starts at 10am, can enter using the charity’s website www.beatbloodcancers.org/bikeathon or call one of the local organisers – Lyn Evans 01686 420648 and Tony Dart 01691 658855.
