Car damaged at tricky junction

04/09/2018 @ 04:09

One of the town’s trickiest junctions claimed another victim on Sunday when a Welshpool woman’s car was damaged by a vehicle pulling a trailer, before the driver made off without stopping.

Faith Hill faces a costly bill, or a claim on her own insurance, unless she can find the driver of a car and trailer that pulled out of the junction at the bottom of Red Bank at around 5.55pm on Sunday.

She is now asking that local residents or businesses in the area check any CCTV they may have.

“I started to go up Red Bank but there was a vehicle with a long covered trailer, the sort which could have a classic or racing car or even a boat maybe,” said Faith.

“I went up slowly as their car was just over the central line and as I was about 10-15ft up he pulled out and the trailer travelled onto my side and down the rear side of my car.”

Faith admits that she is upset that the driver sped off but concedes that they may well have been unaware that the accident had happened.

There were witnesses and Faith has asked that anyone with information should contact us at editor@mywelshpool.co.uk and we will forward any information on to her.
