What a ‘doughnut’!

A boy racer has been cautioned after being caught using Berriew Street Car Park for stunt driving.

Readers in the area have become increasingly annoyed with the drivers congregating in the car park at night and local officers have responded with a stern warning following last night’s action.

“Welshpool officers issue driver with S59 warning following anti-social driving in Berriew Street,” reported Sergeant Tom Marshall on Twitter, before adding: “Next time car seized and crushed. Leave the doughnuts to us!”

This morning he told us that the male was caught performing a handbrake turn before driving off at speed with the whole incident witnessed by an officer in an unmarked car.
