U3A meeting Tuesday
Member, Angela Ormrod, will deliver a talk on ‘Wainwright Coast to Coast’, a very well-known walker’s description of hiking from the West coast to the East in Northern England.
The meeting will start promptly at 10.30am, with doors open at 9.45am for coffee and a chance to meet other members. Non-members are welcome to come along for the morning to see what the U3A does.
At the September meet, there was a presentation on ‘Operation Sabre’, the project to take small red sacks filled with items to Romania.
The meeting’s talk was by Jon Mackeen on ‘Knowing about Diabetes’, to help raise awareness of the disease and highlight the work of Diabetes UK.
