Local Tourism Trade Day

06/11/2018 @ 11:09

A social enterprise company that represents around 600 businesses across Mid Wales will hold a local trade day this month.

Hosted by MWT Cymru’s chief executive Val Hawkins, the trade days will be open to members, tourism associations and guests and provide the ideal opportunity to meet informally and exchange information.

In her marketing update, Mrs Hawkins will report on the Real Ceredigion Experiences project, Real Mid Wales social media campaign, live Facebook streaming, the compilation of the Bedroom Browser 2018/19 and website development.

She is keen to receive tourism season reports from businesses and local tourism associations. Savings and new member benefits, advice, support and training information will also be covered.

Member businesses can also pre-book a 30-minute one-to-one training session on Guestlink, the online accommodation management system for tourism and hospitality businesses, before or after the meetings.

It will be held at Gregynog Hall, Tregynon, on Monday, November 19 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

There will also be a special afternoon session from 1pm-2pm with a round-table discussion about business investment, exploring barriers and opportunities for growth.

“Whether it’s skills and training, staffing, funding or planning, we would like to hear about the issues businesses are encountering together with positive experiences,” said Mrs Hawkins. “It will be an opportunity to share success stories and plans for investment.”
Local tourism group leaders and members of tourism related organisations are asked to contact MWT Cymru on Tel: 01654 702653 if they wish to attend any of the meetings.
