Calendar puts the focus on you

Welshpool will be captured through the lens of local photographers in 2012 after a new competition was launched today.

 

‘Welshpool Through The Seasons’ will be a 2012 calendar capturing the town in all its glory throughout the year and it will features photographs taken by you.

 

Mywelshpool has teamed up with Welshpool Town Council who have issued the following rules for the competition:

 

1)    The competition is open to anyone who does not earn the majority of their income through photography.

 

2)    Photographs can be of local landmarks or buildings of interest in the Welshpool area.

 

3)    Photographs can be digital images, which should be submitted as JPEGs on a CD or Memory Stick. Up to a maximum of 12 images per person can be submitted.

 

4)    This completed entry form should be attached to the CD/stick and returned to the Town Clerk’s Office at the address below.

 

5)    We are sorry but we cannot return any entries.

 

6)    The closing date is Friday 20^th May 2011 and no entries will be accepted after this date.

 

7)    Following the closing date the entries will be judged by a panel of experts and the winning entries (one picture per entrant) will appear on the 2012 calendar. Winners will be informed of their success and will receive a free copy of the calendar when it is published.

 

8)    Copyright in all photos submitted remains with the entrant but by entering this competition they agree to their image being used in any publication produced by Welshpool Town Council.

 

9)    In all matters regarding this competition, the Judges’ decision is final.
