New fire cadets wanted

A new generation of potential firefighters of the future are being recruited, with applications being taken in the New Year.

Welshpool Fire Cadets will be accepting applications for new cadets and volunteer instructors to start in January.

The cadets undertake all drills that firefighters do which is assessed and goes towards a BTEC qualification.

Fire and Rescue training is provided to youngsters aged 12-16, and includes operational drills, first aid, fire safety education, leadership and more.
