Five engines were required to bring a fire under control at Severn Timber Products in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Crews were called at 4am to the Severn Farm Industrial Estate in Welshpool and took nearly 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze which destroyed a forklift truck and timber.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets, one main jet and a thermal imaging camera and returned to station at around 5.30am.
There are no reports of any casualties.
