The Corn Exchange in Welshpool Town Hall will play host to a free money advice and well-being event tomorrow (Thursday) between 2-4pm, hosted by Assembly Member, Eluned Morgan.
Local and national organisations such as the Cambrian Credit Union, MIND & Citizens Advice have signed up to take part in the pop-up event aimed at helping local residents to access advice and support on a wide range of topics from benefit changes to energy savings and how to stay fit and healthy.
Eluned Morgan AM said: “Many are finding that their household budgets are squeezed as bills continue to rise. For people, especially on lower incomes, the changing benefits system and the increasing cost of living is making life much more stressful.
“Many people are finding themselves out of pocket each year due to the complex Universal Credit application process, so I’ve been speaking to local organisations to put together an event that makes it easy for people to get the information they need, all under one roof.
“This will be the fifth in a series of money and wellbeing focused sessions organised by my office across Mid & West Wales and I am pleased to say that all have so far proven to be beneficial and popular.”
In addition to local support services, Eluned will be holding an advice surgery during the event, where local residents can raise a concern or ask a question about the role of the National Assembly for Wales.
