Welshpool Firefighters tackle blaze on Westwood Park

Welshpool firefighters are currently tackling a blaze in the Westwood Park area of the town.

Four appliances are believed to be at the scene of the blaze which involves fencing and a shed at the property.

Plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the area before the crews arrived to dampen down the blaze.

The firefighters managed to prevent the blaze spreading to adjoining premises and are asking people to avoid the area where possible.
