Welshpool Town Council has requested more time to consider an application for new houses on Red Bank.
The town’s Planners received the request for comments from Powys County Council too late to discuss at their April 13 meeting and have asked for an extension so it can be discussed at the end of the month.
The application, for 19 homes together with a change of use of Croft House from one to two dwellings and new vehicle access, has been put forward by Munro Associates of Shrewsbury.
Last month we reported that Welshpool will need to find space for 1,000 new homes over the next 15 years to meet the expected increase in population and immigration.
