New blood on the Town Council

Welshpool Town Council will welcome some fresh blood at its next meeting following the unopposed election of a new councillor.

An election was called following the resignation of former Deputy Mayor, Heather Chave, but only one person put their name in the hat.

It means that Lauren Bailey, from Pool Quay, will take the vacant seat on the Gungrog Ward.

“We welcome Lauren to the Council,” said Town Clerk, Robert Robinson.
