It is 75 years since the D-Day landings on June 6 1944 and Welshpool is paying its own subtle tribute today.
As the focus turns to the coastline of France and the heroes who fought to free Europe from the tyranny of Nazi Germany, Welshpool will also remember.
“The Town Hall has both national standards flying today and the building will be lit in red, white and blue as part of the 75 years since D-Day,” said Town Clerk, Robert Robinson.
