The Good Samaritan!

What a great way to start the week.

On Friday there was outrage after we reported how a pensioner had been visited by a thief who stole something of great sentimental value.

Margaret Stephens was fuming after noticing her plant urns had been taken from the front of her house in Alfred Jones Place on Thursday night (pictured). They had previously been given to her as a 25^th anniversary gift some years earlier.

She took to social media and a friend contacted us in a bid to raise awareness, and it appears to have worked!

“Margaret had a visit from a gentleman who returned the pots,” her friend told us. “He had bought them in good faith for £50 but as soon as he knew where they had come from he returned them and refused to accept anything from Margaret. He was just happy to return them to the rightful owner, so a very happy ending!”
