‘Excellent’ report for Open Door
Open Door Family Centre in Welshpool is celebrating following an ‘excellent’ Estyn Inspection.
The report has provided Open Door with three Excellent ratings for wellbeing, care and development, and leadership and management, making it the only non-maintained nursery setting in Powys with three 'excellents’.
“On behalf of the Trustees of Open Door Family Centre, a registered charity in the heart of Welshpool, I would like to say how proud we are of the manager and staff for all their hard work, loyalty, commitment and excellent care to the children who attend the nursery, said Laura Poole, Vice Chairperson.
“In the latest joint Estyn/CIW report, the Open Door Family Centre has been ranked excellent and good in the different areas.
“Good communication, trustees and staff working together and excellent leadership skills have all contributed to this achievement.”
Melony Carter, Manager (Registered Person In Charge), added: “We are over the moon with the outcome of our inspection and would like to say a huge thank-you to our parents, children, staff, trustees and support teachers for helping to make this possible.”
