Over 350 flu jabs a week

Welshpool Medical Practice says the message to take precautions against the flu this winter is getting through, and is urging those that haven’t done so to book in as soon as possible.

For the second week running, more than 350 flu jabs have been given at the Centre as winter, and the flu season, approaches.

“To avoid disappointment, please can we remind all eligible patients to book in for your free flu immunisation,” said a spokesperson. “Flu is no joke and no one wants to be poorly this winter.”

Those eligible for the free vaccine include patients aged 65 and over as well as pregnant ladies. Carers are also included while a programme for children aged 2 and 3 will commence later this month.
