Accident blocks Newtown road

Local police are warning motorists of Monday morning delays following an accident on the busy A483 main road to Newtown.

The accident, believed to involve three vehicles, happened near Sarn y Bryn Caled sometime before 6am, but the road is expected to be closed for "some time" to allow emergency services to deal with the scene.

Diversions have been activated at both Sarn y Bryn Caled and Berriew, but police have warned motorists to “expect delays”.
