The four people arrested following Dyfed-Powys Police’s biggest ever drugs raid are out on bail.

Three people were arrested at the scene on Wednesday and one later in the day following the bust at Leighton Arches on the outskirts of Welshpool.

The raid involved more than 70 officers and due to the magnitude of the investigation those arrested are out under strict bail conditions. Police said a large quality of drugs were recovered.

While Dyfed-Powys Police did not disclose the bail conditions. It is thought they are due to re-appear in court in the New Year.

There has been an increased police presence in Welshpool since the warrant, carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act, was executed. Residents are encouraged to speak to officers about any concerns they have.
