‘We need more police officers’

The Welshpool area may be one of the safest places to live in the UK, but the local police force says it needs more officers.

Recent statistics show that the Dyfed-Powys Police area has the lowest levels of recorded crime, but the force is particularly keen to recruit more officers for north Powys.

“We need more police officers in North Powys and on January 9 we will be opening for recruitment,” a spokesperson said.
