Guilsfield surgery update

Guilsfield residents will be able to collect their prescriptions from the village surgery from July 8, it has been confirmed today.

The facility closed to collections at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, with a group of volunteers ensuring that over 200 residents still received their prescriptions to their door.

It is a branch of the Welshpool Medical Centre which has informed the Volunteer Co-ordinator and Guilsfield Community Council Chair, Ian Harrison, that it will reopen from 1.15pm-4.15pm Monday-Friday.

However, some patients will still be shielding until August 16 so the volunteer army is expected to be called upon for a few weeks yet.
