Cross-border money laundering arrest

Local officers have teamed up with West Mercia colleagues to target criminals cross-crossing the border.

A member of the Newtown Roads Policing Unit said the teamwork was making an impact with an arrest made last night and a large sum of money confiscated (pictured).

“Cross border partnership,” the officer wrote on Twitter. “Vehicle stopped travelling into Welshpool. Occupant arrested (for) money laundering and fraud offences.”
