Mother jailed for stealing £26,000

A Welshpool mother has been sent to jail for nine months for stealing £26,000 from her employer, DG Haulage of Welshpool.

 

Sara Jones 33, of  Parc Caradog, was an administrative assistant and used company cheques for her own benefit and also made extra payments to herself on the payroll system.

 

Jones, who pleaded guilty, was sent to jail by Mold Crown Court after it emerged she was four months into an 18-month suspended sentence for doing the same thing for a previous employer.
