Montgomery Castle set to reopen

One of our favourite beauty spots is set to reopen this afternoon, just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Montgomery Castle closed on Wednesday following Storm Francis which caused a number of problems due to winds reaching up to 75mph.

But the town’s Facebook page is reporting that a brilliant team effort means that it should be back to normal from 2pm.

“Montgomery Castle is now expected to be open again from around 2pm this afternoon. Thanks to CADW, Powis Estates, the keyholders and the Mayor for working together to achieve this following the storms and keeping us informed,” they stated.
