Incinerator protest this Friday

Campaigners opposing the construction of a multi-million-pound incinerator near Trewern will hold a protest this Friday.

The project is in the midst of a public consultation, with Broad Energy, the company behind it, saying it will provide energy and jobs, while campaigners fear it will create pollution issues.

The Buttington Incinerator Impact Group has announced that it will hold a ‘pavement demo’ at Trewern Primary School at 3.45pm on Friday.

“We will maintain social distancing, but since the pavement stretches in both directions for hundreds of metres, there's room for lots of people!” campaigner, Simon Boyes, told us.
