Town Council set to vote for Mayor and Deputy

Welshpool Town Council is set to formally elect a Mayor for the remainder of the municipal year and members of the public are able to attend the virtual meeting next Wednesday night.

Councillor Steve Kaye is the current Mayor of Welshpool. He has remained in post during the Covid-19 pandemic with the council unable to meet at the Town Hall to hold its annual meeting.

Now by using Zoom technology the Town Council is meeting regularly and the delayed annual meeting will go ahead on Wednesday at 7pm.

The election of a Deputy Mayor is also on the agenda. Councillor David Senior is the current deputy. Appointments to committees are also up for decision.
