‘Crafty’ sisters in lockdown fundraiser

28/10/2020 @ 09:44

Three Forden sisters have put their crafty talents to good use this lockdown, and raised some welcome funds for Welshpool Hospital in the process.

Siân Sheppard said her daughters Ffion (12), Hollie (10) and Ella (7) wanted to do something for the NHS after being inspired by the incredible work being done by all of our frontline workers through the first lockdown.

“We set up a Facebook group called Crafty Delights to show the items that they have made, such as light-up bottles, decorated candles, glass hanging hearts and other craft items,” said proud mum, Siân.

“They enjoy being creative and crafty and the aim is to make people smile by enjoying their purchases and to raise money towards a very worthy cause, the #NHS.”

The site has proved to be popular, with the girls already handing over a cheque for £200 to Welshpool Hospital for its Minor Injuries Unit.

But they are not done yet! The site is still active and selling plenty of items, so search for Crafty Delights on Facebook and pick up a bargain for a great cause!
